- Setup and maintain numerous office networks, routing network cables through walls and ceilings, setting up a broadband connection for network access, securing the network, and setting up telephony services.
- PC technician for a high school. Worked on a variety of computers, printers, and networks. Work always demanded multi-tasking; balancing and prioritizing several jobs at once.
- Set up a 20 node room for access to a central server, included making custom-length network cables, being invisible during working hours, and preventing future problems.
- Network administrator for a university lab. Setup and maintained computers on a large-scale network that was both inside and outside of special lab facilities.
- Designed, built, and managed a 500 user terminal server, backup server, and thin clients to use with the setup. Involved balancing power of the system vs. needs of the users vs. needs of the management vs. the allocated budget.
